An introduction to basic Buddhist concepts and how it relates to developing your creative passion as means to provide meaning and happiness to your life.
You don't have to be an artist to be creative. The word 'create' comes from the Latin 'to produce', which evolved into the late Middle English, 'form out of nothing'. We create things all the time and take the creative process for granted. Often we associate the objects of art making as the end result of 'creativity' and judge ourselves and others based on our limited skills. Skills can be developed through practice. The joy resides in the process.
Creativity is a form of mindfulness if you understand its essence and if it's placed within a spiritual framework. In some eastern traditions, this creative act is used as a form of meditation like Chinese calligraphy and the Japanese tea ceremony as examples. This course is designed to develop mindfulness through the creative process.
It's also meant to be fun! You'll explore yourself and your talents through a range of creative exercises culled from 'design thinking' including creative writing, drawing, photography and movement just to name a few.

Please note: All classes require a minimum of 6 participants to go ahead. In the event of a workshop being cancelled, your booking will be fully refunded or transferred to another workshop or date. For cancellations within 24 hours notice of the scheduled class, 50% of the class fee will be refunded.
